The bang bang club review

                   The bang bang club

The story is about a young photojournalist who visits a black township where a lot of violence is taking place. He takes picture of the people in the township telling stories of their daily lives and struggle.

Ryan Phillipe, Malin Akerman, Taylor Kitsch, Frank Rautenbach and Alf Khumalo starred in the movie directed by Steven Silver. The movie was released in 2010 at the Toronto international film festival.

It focuses on the road to democracy in South Africa when Nelson Mandela was released from prison and the war between the IFP and the ANC during 1990 to 1994.

The bang bang club takes pictures of the township struggle to sell newspapers. They became friends on one of the scenes in the township.
Their best selling story was when they got a picture of a man being  burnt alive.

I would not recommend this movie to sensitive viewers and kids. It contains a lot of violence and hate speech, but at the same time it educates on what transpired between 1990-1994.
