Sosha Panthers vs Ace United

By: Palesa Chidi

After two weeks of unpleasant games, the sosha panthers finally get back on their feet. The Sosha Panthers FC won 8-2 against Ace united FC at Soshanguve Block H grounds on Sunday for the super league.

Doctor Mpoko, the coach of Panthers FC was happy for the win but was also concerned by the lack of energy from his players. “We have been having bad games for the past two weeks, having drawn 1-1 against the other teams was bad for us,” said Mpoko. He then continued to say that the team was tired as they have been in camp for two days.

Josias Mathunsi of Panthers FC scored hat-trick in the first half, followed by goals from Emmanuel Kristi, Mashimbye Nhlaisi and Katlego Mogothlong in the second half since they were playing on their home ground with too many supporters behind the team.

Sosha Panthers moved from the second spot on the log to the number one spot as Ace united is still on the firth spot taking no point against Panthers, this puts Ace united in pressure since they’ve been suffering from their last games.

Given Tibana, captain of Ace united managed to score two goals for his team to maintain goal difference in the league. A lot of injuries from the game were encountered during the second half of the game as Kagiso Makafolacaptain of Sosha panthers was injured by a rough tackle from the opponents due to the pressure of the game and the sunny weather.

Following the loss of his team Tibana said:” there was no team work in today’s game and every player was playing his own game, for our next game we are going to need a lot of training and team work in order to win.” Lucas Manabalala said they needed more training to win the game and this loss is a motivation for them to work harder in their next games.

Lucas Manabalala , coach of Ace united was unable to give his comment because of his meeting with his team after the match.
