ARE WE REALLY THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW?

They say we are the leaders of tomorrow. they say we are the future, but are we really? i would like to believe so.

They say we are ratchet and unbearable, but we are simply enjoying ourselves, YOLO right?.Whether by peer pressure, choice or influence we are always going to do what we feel is right.

Generation Z, we are really not that bad. We know our capabilities and trust me we can work very well through and around them. we are also able to manage our time. Time management is good right?

we might be going through a lot of obstacles like drugs, peer pressure, suicide and bullying to name few.

Do I want to die? a question a lot of us ask ourselves. A lot of us do not have the answer. Maybe we just need a little bit of motivation.

A lot of us do go to school and make sure we get the level of education which the society expects from us. But once we graduate, they turn their backs on us. We stay unemployed after graduation. How are we then expected to empower ourselves?

When majority  of us decide to drop out of school for the obvious reasons, we are the outcasts in the society. A lot of young people drop out of school to make a living for themselves through their amazing talents. But it is morally wrong according to society right?

Let us make a living through our God given talents. Make way for us to empower ourselves in our own way without any judgement. Let us live our lives.

Yes! step in, but not too much because you are enslaving us. Yes, I am talking to you old lady and you old man busy judging us.

stop measuring my mental and thinking capacity by my level of education. Encourage me to do better. Do not tell me that I will not make it if I don't get a masters degree in Medicine.

Help me become a better person. Help the youth become better people. Help me find a job after graduation. Support my hustle and accept my talent.

The youth is not lost as everyone points it out to be, we are actually very talented and skilled, we just need a little push that's all. Just because we took a different route does not mean that we are lost. We just simply want to do things our way. The least you could do is support us.

The issue of youth unemployment in our country can not be stressed out enough. Our future leaders are struggling. They attend their graduation ceremonies not knowing where they are going to work tomorrow. Is that  even fair?
People are complaining. Young people are crying out for help. Employ them, you told them to go to school right? Stop asking for 5 years experience when offering them jobs. Where is a 21 year old graduate supposed to get 5 years of experience?

You say we are your future leaders on television, but you are not showing. All that just to generate money for yourself and look good in the public eye? Such greed.

let us work together. We are all in this together. One love, different generations, one mission.

“The young, free to act on their initiative, can lead their elders in the direction of the unknown… The children, the young, must ask the questions that we would never think to ask, but enough trust must be re-established so that the elders will be permitted to work with them on the answers.” — Margaret Mead
